Setup Intrax ARC schock absorbers

ARC (Anti Roll Control)®

After years of development Intrax based in Volkel, The Netherlands, did it. They developed a unique way to drastically reduce unwanted roll (lateral and longitudinal). Your Donkervoort will have the comfort and all the other benefits of driving with “soft” springs like extra grip and traction, until you take a corne or need to brake then ARC® will control ride height with the feel of a sport/race/rally  setup. While driving over a curb, through a putt hole or over jumps the suspension will absorb them like driving with soft springs.

At the same time  ARC® will make sure that your suspension won’t  during these conditions. So for the first time you can have the benefits of a soft spring set up without  the disadvantages of too much body roll and/or collapsing suspension in putt holes, jumps and curbs.

It is possible to upgrade your D8 with this unique product. How the work? That is the best kept secret of the Owner/ Designer from Intrax, Mr. Henk Thuis.

Basic settings

A – Rebound: -25

B – High speed compr: 35

C – Low speed compr: 10

D – 4th adjustment: 2.00

E – Preload adjuster, fully in: 10 mm

Rebound adustment

Turn the click wheel (A) clock wise slowly, until it stops clicking. Then turn anti-clock wise and count the number of clicks. The more clicks, the faster the shock absorber is rebounding (50 clicks).

High speed compression (bump)

In. Turn (B) anti-clockwise until lock. This is the softest option. Then turn clock-wise and count the number of clicks. The high speed option is to control the rigidity and stiffness of your Donkervoort.

Low speed compression (bump)

In. Turn (C) anti-clockwise until lock. This is the softest option. Then turn clock-wise and count the number of clicks. The low speed option is to control the body roll of your Donkervoort and in the softer setting it offers a more comfortable ride and plus it is managing small bumps in the road surface easier.

4-way adjustment

Low speed total adjustment option (D). When this setting option is fully closed, and more dampening is required, unlock the locking/ fixation nut and rotate 90 degrees clockwise. Note: first open the low speed adjuster (C) otherwise the adjustment needle is damaged. The max opening is 2,5 turns. That is the softest possible setting.

During rainy conditions: reduce the dampening setting (A, B and C) with 5 clicks for the best results.

Pre-load adjuster -vehicle ride height

Turn clock-wise and it will bring your Donkervoort to a higher ride height and pre-load. Turn counter clock-wise lo reduce the pre-load and ride hight.
